Heidi’s Mission In Life is to Make a Difference In People’s lives!
Born with an unwavering ambition to make a difference in the world, Heidi has always set the bar high when it came to her mission.
Originally Heidi’s journey started out in the wedding industry as a wedding photographer, but eventually embraced the entire industry as a wedding gown store owner, and lifestyle editor for a popular wedding magazine. It wasn’t long before the media called her name and Heidi began co-hosting for a morning radio show, and not much later as a host for 6 seasons of the popular wedding show, “Rich Bride, Poor Bride”.
During Heidi’s career as on-air talent she quickly realized she preferred to step behind the camera as a producer. First as a story producer for many reality telebision shows and eventually ended up as a segment producer on the number one daytime Canadian TV show – the Marilyn Denis Show.
After producing hundreds of fashion makeovers as well as high profile celebrities like Harry Connick Jr., Dan Aykroyd, Kim Cattrall, and Molly Ringwald, and becoming a 3-time award winning producer, Heidi felt it was time to move on.
Heidi always knew something bigger lay ahead.
Since leaving her high-profile career in television, Heidi has become an admired positive social media influencer, a three-time published Chicken Soup for the Soul author a popular motivational speaker and recently had her book published called Stories: Finding your Wings.
With so many amazing accomplishments under her belt you would think Heidi would consider slowing down. Not the case. Her intentions and dreams were growing bigger and stronger every day.
Fast-forward to March 2020…my life changed forever. I actually awakened from the fog I’d been living in for the past few years and began the journey of unbecoming everything I wasn’t and uncovering my Truth.
I began by putting myself first…and EVERYTHING CHANGED!
Here’s what I discovered…In order to help others in a massive way, you have to help yourself FIRST. It’s kinda like how the flight attendant instructs you to put on your own air mask before assisting others with their masks.
But you may be wondering… “Heidi, how do I help myself? How do I put myself first?”
If you’re like me, you’ve been in a pattern of living your life by default. Not by design. You’re used to the same ‘ol same ‘ol routines. They are kind of like ruts in a field. If you’ve ever driven in ruts you know how it’s smooth sailing as long as you stay in the track…but your direction is limited.
Living in a rut totally sucks. I should know. I lived there for a long damn time. In fact, it seemed like things were hopeless.
Then I discovered that IF you’ve had enough, and you really want to get out of a rut, you’re going to need support and the tools to really put yourself first. So that’s exactly what I did…I started talking with other women and created the support I needed through a community and then learned the proper tools to put myself first.
And do you know what? It totally worked! I experienced a total REBOOT and learned SOOOO many lessons in the process.
Heidi has always had the motto that dreams only come true when you take action…and she is living proof of this
